NYFW: A/W2015 Costello Tagliapietra

Design duo Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra took us out of the city and into the woods with their latest collection. The "hipster duo" used the forest inspiration as their runway backdrop by snapping images of the land then translating the theme by reconstructing it through watercolors. The warm earth tones of brown, burgundy, and forest green in the collection reflect the woods they traveled in. For us, the standout pieces featured plaids mixed with soft silhouettes. Hitting the nail right on the head, this collection mirrored their hipster edge while allowing women to exude femininity.
