#MusicMonday: Here Comes The Sun

I live in California where every day is the same. Pointing vaguely to a rainy season or something called “June gloom,” natives claim that California can compete with East Coast seasonality. But having lived here for five years, I’ve found that that the chance of a gorgeous day is equally likely in January as it is in September, and it’s typically pretty high. Thus, I spend most Saturdays drinking in the sunshine. I realize, however, that my East Coast counterparts are less lucky – I had the misfortune of spending the first 23 years of my life there, and one horrific winter in the recent past. With last winter fresh in my memory, I sympathize with the terror that is East Coast January-April, and the colossal high that accompanies May’s arrival. This mix is meant to celebrate summer’s imminence, the joys of wearing jorts and drinking on rooftops. Throw on a crop top, pop some bubbles, and bask!
