IN CROWD: Fashion Vie Charity Runway Show & Auction

Fashion events for charity are always a good idea - entertainment for a good cause just works. We attended the 1st Annual Fashion Vie Charity Runway Show and Auction, hosted by TV Correspondent Karamo Brown, who was dressed in a Chuks Collins suit and Cognac shoes. The event was inspired by mens designer Chuks Collins, who has worked previously as a costume designer on a variety of broadway shows. When he was down, Housing Works (the charity the event supported) took him in and now Collins feels like it is his time to "give back to the people who gave him the support to heal." The first of our favorite runway looks was the jacket with jeans and no shirt under - because that's exactly how we want our men to wear the look! For those who want to show a little less skin, the all black look that came out after is perfect for any NYC man. After the show, we enjoyed sipping on Exclusiv Vodka and a special performance from artist Mekia Machine. A silent auction for the charity was held and guests eagerly big on items. We expect nothing but big things from Collins next NYFWM and are eagerly anticipating his next collection.
