Hic Olive Oil & Olives- For the food enthusiast, this Olive Oil and olives are the perfect treat. Most "store brand" Olive Oils aren't actually olive oil but Hic is 100% natural olive oil. Harvested from the slopes of Turkey in the Hic Olive forest by the Aegean Sea which gives the oil a natural fruity flavor. At $15, the oil is a great gift for the guy that cooks and appreciates fine ingredients. A nice add-on to that is the Aegean Black Olives which are a variety of local cultivars including Ayvilik, Gemlik, Memecik and Wild olives. Serve them at a winter party with toasted bread, a drizzle of oil and bruschetta and transport yourself to the Mediterranean with every bite.
BOU Bouillon Cubes- For the novice chef who wants to try something new- like making a soup for a holiday party- but needs some help to make it happen. Instead of filling your fridge with a variety of ingredients and slaving over your stove for hours, just grab a tiny BOU cube. Packed with flavor, BOU has created a cube without any of the unhealthy additives in other types of bouillon- no GMO's, gluten free, and nothing artificial about it. Check out below for our easy recipe.
Editors Note: We used our leftover chicken- bones and skin on so the flavor can be absorbed in the soup. After that, we threw in canned corn and string beans, which were lying around in the pantry. Root vegetables of carrots and potatoes always work well (and are cheap as fuck) because they get soft and add flavor and always make sure to add an onion. Let that sit for three hours and it'll be perfect.
Nemiroff Honey Pepper Vodka- Launched in 1998, this unique flavor is based on the old Ukrainian traditions for generations. Since its inception, it has become a sense of pride for the brand that becoming a hallmark drink for Ukraine itself! We find flavored vodkas can leave you with a headache but the the Nemiroff Honey Pepper Vodka is different because it is made from 100% natural ingredients. The uniqueness of this vodka is rich and varied: the herbal taste warms your entire body with a the burning-sweet wave. The sweetness of the honey & caramel is balanced out perfectly by the spiciness of the hot peppers infused into the vodka. We recommend having it straight up or with soda in order to enjoy the natural flavors. At under $20, it is the perfect gift for the holiday season for a unique vodka flavor and a conversation piece at that.
Zirkova Vodka- We love vodka so much, we included our favorite which we previously wrote about. The vodka is handcrafted in small batches which distinguishes itself in taste because unlike other vodkas which can taste sour and acidic, Zirkova's unique recipe gives it a velvety smooth feel into every sip. The bottle is elegant and different enough to bring to a holiday party and feast away!
Bluecoat Gin- A gin inspired from the revolutionary times of 1776, Bluecoat brings gin back to its most natural elements. Made with 100% organic botanical ingredients, Bluecoat makes sure they only use the best from start to finish. All gins start with juniper berries- as does Bluecoat- however they use organic Mediterranean berries which have unique fruity, spicy, and earth notes known to that region. The twist is that Bluecoat adds a nice citrus blend featuring sweet citrus and lemon peels with coriander seeds for that earthiness. We recommend bringing this gin to any holiday party and quickly see how many pick it up as their new go-to gin. Read below for our simple and favorite recipe from Bluecoat which is not only tasty but fancy as fuck.
