HOOCH x Rocco DiSpirito

Cocktails pretty much run this world. Whether it's after a terrible day at work, celebrating a birthday, or Sunday afternoon brunch, cocktails are fucking happening. Last night, we attended the HOOCH x Rocco DiSpirito event where the celebrity chef himself crafted the 'Healthy HOOCH Cocktails'. Located at the Magic hour inside the Moxy NYC, the cocktails were flowing and the guests were excited to try these low calorie drinks. Here at Labeling Men, we love a Moscow Mule and DiSpirito gave us a nice play on it, called the "Fit Mule". Start it off with Belvedere Vodka (or whatever vodka you have lying around), zevia zero cal ginger ale, fresh lime & mint. Sounds simple enough, but its light, refreshing, and still packs that punch a regular mule would have. Liz Black of PS Its Fashion was overheard saying her favorite was the Skinny G+T which contains botanist gin (again, any gin will do), zevia zero calorie tonic water, coconut nectar, and fresh lime. What's great about this, is the cocktails will be available at select Tao Group venues starting February 1st, followed by a wider release across the HOOCH network starting this Spring.

The curated guests mingled around while they received personalized training in downloading and joining the HOOCH app. Before giving an introduction of the app to the crowd, we got to chat one on one with HOOCH founder, Lin Dai. Sharply dressed, Dai was passionate and excited about bringing bars, friends, and people together through the HOOCH app. He tells us exclusively that he has even bigger plans for HOOCH, including an expansion to Europe. With trips coming up to Paris, Milan, and Barcelona, we look forward to trying HOOCH and delicious cocktails overseas.

We were in for yet another treat when we learned that Rocco DiSpirito was going to sign his new bestselling cookbook, Rocco's Healthy + Delicious: More than 200 (Mostly) Plant-Based Recipes for Everyday Life. While on line, we noticed socialite Emma Snowdon Jones chatting away to our left and Erickson Beamon designer Karen Erickson mingling with the crowd to our right while the cameras were flashing away at English actress Akiya Henry. When we got to the front of the line- after one guest decided to tell her life story to DiSpirito- Rocco was affable as can be. Cracking jokes, giving cocktail advice, and personalizing each book, it was the perfect surprise to an already perfect New York City evening. Scroll through the gallery to see for yourself.
