SOCIAL: Cadillac Reveal Party

Cadillac is defined as an iconic luxurious American classic car. So what does one do when one wants to reinvent themself? Throw a fabulous soiree in honor of its unveiling of the all new revolutionary Cadillac CT6. Set at the new hotspot at Duggal Greenhouse near the Brooklyn Navy Yard, we eagerly arrived by ferry to see the party of the classic brand's new seden. This innovative car combines the fashion forward thinking Cadillac has adapted along with putting the same dependency Cadillac is known for. The CT6 insides run with exclusive 3-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine that puts out 400 horsepower and 400 ft-lb. of torque, updating their touchpad in the central console with faster response time. Their promise towards modernization is realized with top end 34-speaker Bose Panaray audio system. Tailor-made for any of our labels, this is one car that we are looking forward to seeing our men in.

After the big reveal of the Cadillac CT6, we were treated to a feast unlike any other. Lobster in droves, scallops, sea bass, salmon, sashimi, guests were comparing favorite (ours were the scallops) and getting in line for seconds and thirds. Cadillac employees were at every corner, friendly as can be and answering guests' questions. Being to this space before, we were blown away by the transformation of it and chatted up event set designer for Cadillac Stefan Beckman, who was willing to share his philosophy behind the evening.

Labeling Men: Tell us about what you did for the Cadillac event.

Stefan Beckman: I'm the set designer for the entire event, for what you see here. Cadillac called me, wanting to do something interesting and different that they normally do, and it's my first time working on a car reveal so that is really exciting for me, made me think kind of out of the box. We wanted to do something kind of fresh, modern, and kind of give the idea of an abstract city, where you can discover areas. There is the reveal, there was the reveal outside, there is the car, the cutaway to the other cars...the experience of the new Cadillac. They are moving to New York and to give them a fresh spin on something, fashion sensability you could say.

L.M: What type of guy did you have in mind when you designed this?

S.B: He is a guy who likes design and architecture, he's the guy that travels, he's the guy - I hate to say it - the finer things. But all those kind of things. He is somebody in tune to what is going on in the world. They appreciate cars but they also appreciate luxury and futuristic thinking and all of those kind of things.

At the end of the night, we were treated to a live performance by Grammy award winner Raphael Saadiq. The vivavcious crowd ate up his perfomance along with his band members and shimmied the night away. We were enthralled with Saadiq and he is definitely now in our music queues.

The Cadillac CT6 will be popping up in showrooms nationwide a few months from now.
