IN CROWD: Designer Eyes Storefront

The new World Trade Center Mall- known as "The Oculus"- keeps getting new storefronts to fill their spaces and the latest is luxury eyewear company Designer Eyes. Setting up in a spacious 1,850 square foot space, this marks the 7th retail storefront for the brand. Wanting to make it more than just your average Sunglass Hut, Designer Eyes has taken the experience of shopping to the next level. They have personal eyewear stylists by appointment, concierge services for any off-site eyewear emergencies, and complimentary espresso or champagne to sip & shop while trying on the latest shades. We asked owner of Designer Eyes Jacky Amar about his latest concept store " Our deeply rooted brand partnerships allow us to offer exclusive styles and unique assortments to fashion-forward eyewear connoisseurs." "Luxury is no longer defined by cost, it's defined by the experience, and that's exactly what our clients will find at the new World Trade Center location." In this modern day, with competition from daily discounters and websites galore, we were looking to find out what made Designer Eyes different. They exclusively carry Dolce & Gabana's Sicilian Carreto Hand Painted Frames which D&G has only made 100 of in the entire world. We loved the selection of mens sunglasses as well, with brands such as Tom Ford, Prada, and Cazal Eyewear. To our left, we spotted Michael Strahan trying on a few pairs of sunglasses, remarking how much he loved the variety to choose from. Guests were given special discounts and Gifts With Purchase, including a two-frame textured leather case by Oliver Peoples, business card holder by Mont Blanc, and a Black Orchid fragrance set by Tom Ford.
