Kiehls x Jeff Koons

Collaborations are all the rage and Kiehls always managed to find the best ones. Kiehl's x Jeff Koons combines Kiehl's legendary skincare products with Koons' artistry. Koons created not one but two original pieces of art – one Limited Edition Kiehl’s x Jeff Koons collectable tin (for customers who buy the Midnight Recovery Collection) as well as a public art installation for the New York public. The evening, situated on Saks Fifth Avenue's Terrace on 8th celebrated the unveiling of the Seated Ballerina, Jeff Koons’ 45-foot tall nylon sculpture that depicts a seated ballerina from his iconic Antiquity series. Guests were treated to champagne, cocktails, and delectable hors d’oeuvres such as hanger steak, scallops, and even chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches for dessert.

In the middle of the event, we heard speeches from prominent member of Kiehls regarding the collaboration and the good cause it supports “We’re thrilled to continue what’s become a Kiehl’s tradition of partnering with Jeff Koons,” says Chris Salgardo, President, Kiehl’s US. “With 465,000 children reported missing last year in the United States, it’s gratifying to know that via this fourth partnership Jeff Koons and the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children we are able to make a difference in the lives of our children.” After the illuminating speech, guests enjoyed taking pictures in the photo booth and on the red carpet with Koons. From the stunning views of the terrace, we were able to see the art instillation which was simply another stunning piece from Koons.

The art installation is there not only to delight but to raise awareness for National Missing Children’s month.
