RUNWAY RUNDOWN: NYFW/SS18 9.10.17

3:00pm Denibi Barcelona

The minamalistic Barcelona based fashion house is back on the scene, excited to show off their SS18 collection. Inspired by their city of Barcelona, the color palette was on display by the calm pastels of blues, pinks, and neutral whites. Playing with volume on many of the pieces, one could clearly see the architecture and aesthetic of their dear city. Not one to miss an opportunity, the fashion house also had on display their line of handbags completing every outfit. Walking down the runway was SS18 'It Girl' Shannon Thaler whose runway walk was show-stopping. They say an island is never damaged nor influenced by negative influences, creatively allowing one to push themselves to their full artistic abilities and Denibi did just that.

4:30pm- Laurel DeWitt

The queen of metal wearable art, Laurel DeWitt is always one of our favorite show of the season and as usual, she did made sure to bring it. Having a Disco party on the runway- literally the best idea ever- she aptly called the collection "Dancing Queen". DeWitt went back to the Disco scene to revisit the sexy halters, body suits, and the comeback of the jumpsuit. Using her favorite color palette gold and silver metallics, the chained turbans were a fine detail to the shimmering body suits she sent down the runway- bellbottoms to boot and all! DeWitt tells us that this is "my most seductive line yet" and we tend to agree. These show-stopping pieces are ready for a daring celebrity to wear on their next red-carpet appearance. DeWitt's shows are never simply a runway- held in the Church of the Holy Apostles, wine was served courtesy of Italian Wine Company Bartenura, Cake Pops by CAKENY, and all tied together by the team of Pervis Ross PR. This is the only time you'll see us at Sunday Mass!
